The Colorado Railroad Museum is recognized as one of the best privately supported rail museums in the United States. This "can't miss" site for railfans features over 100 historic narrow and standard gauge locomotives and cars exhibited on 15 acres at the foot of North Table Mountain, near Golden, Colorado. The museum was established in 1959 to preserve for future generations a tangible record of Colorado's flamboyant railroad era, particularly the state's pioneering narrow gauge mountain railroads. Comfort Dental Amphitheatre Coors Amphitheatre is located 15 minutes South of downtown Denver. With spectacular Rocky Mountain sunsets as a background, Coors Amphitheatre is a unique showcase for top entertainment and special events, with reserved seating for 6,823 and additional seating for 10,000 on a landscaped lawn.

The DAM’s department of Architecture, Design & Graphics was formed in 1990 and opened its first permanent galleries in 1993. The Asian art collection, the only such resource in the entire Rocky Mountain region, reflects the diverse creative concepts of a vast and complex area. The Modern and Contemporary collection of 20th-century art contains over 4,500 works, with an emphasis on both internationally known and emerging artists including Alexander Calder, Mark di Suvero, Georgia O'Keeffe, and many others.

Water World, one of America's largest family waterparks, is located just 15 minutes north of downtown Denver, Colorado, on 64 beautifully landscaped acres. Water World is celebrating it's 26th year of operation. We feature the biggest variety of attractions (42) in America, from Wally World for the tots, to Voyage to the Center of the Earth for the entire family. Water World has more family tube rides than any other park in America. Thrill rides are in abundance also, like the Red Line speed slide. Plenty of picnic areas are available, from covered pavilions to beautifully landscaped grass areas.
Under the direction of Music Director Jeffrey Kahane, the Colorado Symphony performs over 100 concerts, showcasing the music of time honored masters and new works by today's talented composers and artists. Sept.- May at Boettcher Concert Hall.
Colorado Ballet is a unique regional dance company in that it was conceived in a ballet school founded in 1951 by Denver natives Freidann Parker and Lillian Covillo. To showcase their talented students, the life-long friends established Colorado Concert Ballet in 1961, which presented its very first production of THE NUTCRACKER at the Bonfils Theater in Denver to sell-out audiences. |
